Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Students and well-wishers,

As the Principal I cordially welcome you to the newly launched School website. St. Xavier’s School, Rupnagar, founded in 2012, is managed by the Society of Jesus, an International Catholic Christian Religious Order, whose members are popularly known as Jesuits. The Society of Jesus has been active in the field of education throughout the world since its origin in 1540. In India the Jesuits are at present responsible for 2 Xavier Universities, 15 Management and Social Institutes, 42 Degree Colleges, 400 Schools and 10 Technical Institutions. In addition to this, the Jesuits also have few Scientific Research Centers, Dialogue Centers and innumerable programs on Adult and Non-Formal Education under their expert guidance. The school metamorphosed into the present stage from its prior existence as being a Punjabi medium school catering to the poor sections of the locality. Then it was known as Loyola School Kotla Nihang. Due to the constant demand from the parents and local folks for an English medium school we ventured into this new endeavor backed by our centuries’ long legacy in education.

Presently, St. Xavier’s School, Rupnagar, is an English medium co-educational institute nurturing young learners through quality education embedded in humane values and competence. It stands for excellence. Therefore, dear parents and guardians, your loving children are here at St. Xavier’s school to excel in everything they embark. We the Jesuit fathers, Holy Family sisters - our collaborators and the teachers are here to form your wards, mould them and build their character. Every Xavierian is inspired to excel at all levels ------- emotionally balanced, intellectually well developed, spiritually oriented, morally developed, socially aware and good at leadership.  My dear loving children make use of all the opportunities given to you at St. Xavier’s and become good human beings-Loving, lovable, caring, understanding, truthful, sincere, honest, knowledgeable, competent and God fearing. So that together we could build our country India for better and make it a nation of joyous living.

Today, we are going through a very tough time due to COVID-19 pandemic. Each one of us and the entire world is affected by the situation consequent of corona virus pandemic. We, as members of the Ropar Xavier Family, express our solidarity with the victims of Covid- 19. We, the Jesuit fathers at Ropar, constantly pray for you dear parents and loving children and for all of your extended family members. May God keep you all safe and in good care.
